The Bay Area is officially home to some of the nation's best pizza.
That is no surprise to locals but Food and Wine has confirmed what we've known all along.
Food and Wine has released a list of the 25 best pizza places in the country and the Bay Area has four entries.
Popular pizzerias Flour & Water, Pizzaiolo, Pizzeria Picco, and Pizzeria Delfina all made the cut.
While the Bay Area had four entries, Grubstreet correctly points out that there were some notable local pizza-makers who did not make the cut.
Hot spots such as Una Pizza Napoletana and Tony's Pizza Napoletana did not make the grade.
