Car Hits, Kills Woman Crossing Blossom Hill

A 35-year-old woman killed crossing Blossom Hill at Snell was not in the crosswalk, police said.

A 35-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by a vehicle in San Jose Sunday evening, a police officer said.

The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Blossom Hill Road just east of Snell Avenue, according to San Jose police Officer Jermaine Thomas.

A vehicle was traveling west on Blossom Hill Road when it struck the woman, who was crossing the road but was not in a crosswalk, Thomas said. The woman was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead Thomas said.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene of the crash and cooperated with police, Thomas said.
