Elderly Woman Carjacked, Run Down in San Jose

Police release new surveillance video of a violent carjacking

Carjacked and run down by her own car. That's what happened to a 70-year-old woman in San Jose late last month.

Now, San Jose police are releasing the surveillance video that shows the crime in progress.

This happened on August 25.

The video (posted above) shows a man casing an SUV in a parking lot on Silver Creek Road in south San Jose. What you don't see, according to police, is that he opens the door, holds a knife to the woman's neck and forces her out of her car.

As the man drivers away, he hits the woman with the SUV knocking her to the ground.

Moments later, a second man hops into the stolen vehicle.

Police in San Francisco have since found the stolen SUV, but the carjackers are still on the loose.

As for the victim, she is recovered after what is described a moderate injuries.
