A former UCSF physician wrongfully removed copies of patient records from San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center last month, Department of Public Health officials said Friday.
UCSF is working with the Department of Public Health to secure the return of the records and identities of the affected patients, officials said.
The former UCSF physician worked at SFGH from 2005 to 2013. Officials said the Department of Public Health will be providing written notification to all affected patients.
