MTV's ‘Real World' Plans San Francisco Casting Call

MTV's long-running "Real World" series is looking locally for the next reality stars.

According to Bunim-Murray Productions, a casting call is scheduled for San Francisco bar Woodbury on August 1.

While no age limit is explicitly stipulated, prospectives must be over 21 and "appear to look between 20 and 24."

“We look for characters from real life, people with strong personalities who are unafraid to speak their minds,” executive producer Jonathan Murray told SFGate.

Bunim-Murray has not revealed the filming location of the upcoming season, but it's probably not going to be in San Francisco: "Real World Ex-Plosion," which aired in 2014 and featured surprise sneak attacks by former boyfriends and girlfriends, was shot in the city. San Francisco was also the site of the third season in 1994.
