A man was found fatally stabbed in San Francisco's Castro District Monday afternoon, police said.
A suicidal note was also found, police said. The medical examiner has yet to provide an official cause of death.
Officers responded at 2:54 p.m. to the area of 18th and Diamond streets on a report of someone lying on the sidewalk with a knife sticking out of their chest, San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Giselle Talkoff said.
Police have not determined whether a suspect was involved or whether the wounds were self-inflicted. The 64-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, Talkoff said.
No other information about the case was immediately available.
