The 47-year-old San Carlos man was vacationing with his wife when he was stabbed to death after he confronted an intruder in his room, according to reports. The attack occured shortly after 4 a.m.

Police said they believe the killer entered the couple's second floor hotel room, through a balcony door, at the La Palapa Condos.
