A man who was the target of a drive-by shooting in West Oakland early this morning was uninjured in the attack, a police officer said.

The shooting was reported just after 12:40 a.m. in the 1000 block of 8th Street, Officer J. Moore said.

The man was sitting in his parked car when a vehicle pulled up next to him and one or more suspects inside the vehicle began shooting into his car, Moore said.

The suspects fled and the man drove away, unharmed, before flagging down police officers in the area.

No suspect vehicle description or any further information was available.
