There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the Tuesday drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery and the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will grow to $51 million.
Six tickets -- one each sold in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Virginia -- had five numbers, but didn't have the Mega number.
The one sold in California is worth $581,319 while the other five are each worth $250,000, California Lottery officials announced. California law requires most major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.
The numbers drawn tonight were 4, 27, 29, 38, 45 and the Mega number was 5. The estimated jackpot was $40 million.
The drawing was the fourth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
