A police pursuit in the North Bay ended with a fatal car crash early Sunday.
Santa Rosa police report that one its officers attempted to pull over a vehicle before the driver took off. A pursuit ensued near Highway 12 and Fulton Road when the driver lost control and crashed, resulting in death.
Footage from the scene depicts a severely battered silver sedan resting in a grassy field.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck, police said.
