Worry about their son turned to a sad reality for a North Bay couple Friday. Around noon the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the Pudding Creek Beach after the couple call them after discovering their own son's body. The man has been identified as Joshua Micah Greenwalt, 41, a Fort Bragg resident. Mendocino investigators said the man's parents, who were not identified, went to the beach after they couldn't find Greenwalt at his home. He was known to go to the beach often. Upon arriving at the beach Greenwalt's parents found their son's deceased body in a shallow portion of Pudding Creek, according the sheriff's office. The cause of death was not known pending an autopsy.
