Water Main Break Floods Menlo Park Road

16-inch pipe a 'major' rupture

This morning, firefighters have capped a water line break in Menlo Park  that sent water gushing onto the street.

Water burst through the 16-inch pipeline, and up through the asphalt, at around 3:00 this morning, at Sharon Park Drive, near Monte Rosa Drive.

Crews managed to shut off the water nearly three hours later.

Water flooded the street, as well as the side of the road, but so far there’s no word on if the water has gushed into any nearby homes.

Public works crews are still on the scene making repairs.
