San Francisco: Woman Says She Was Drugged, Kidnapped and Assaulted

Many holes in story, but police investigating crime following arrest

A San Francisco man is in custody for his alleged role in the kidnap and sexual battery of a 24-year-old woman who had just stepped off of a Greyhound bus in San Francisco, according to police.

Police are still unraveling the details. The victim also called police to report that she'd been kidnapped, according to SF Weekly.

The woman said she was trying to buy a ticket on a Greyhound bus out of town, but ended up being pushed into a sedan by a man she was talking to.

The victim was taken to an "unknown residence in the Mission District where she believes she was drugged," according to the newspaper.

After hearing from the victim, who called 911 after she left the residence a day after allegedly being drugged and assualted, police have arrested 34-year-old Carlos Artaga.

Police acknowledged "a lot of empty holes" in the story but said they are investigating.
