SFPD Posts Stolen Bike Images Online

Authorities are hoping to reunite owners with their beloved two wheels.

Bay Area Rapid Transit has posted pictures of bikes that were stolen from stations across the Bay Area in hopes of reuniting them with their owners.

Last month police recovered 114 stolen bicycles they found after searching the home and storage lockers of an 18-year-old San Francisco man who allegedly tried to steal a bike from the 24th Street BART station.

The San Francisco Police Department arrested Irving Sanchez on May 17 after they found eight stolen bicycles, according to a police spokeswoman.

Later two two storage lockers in Oakland that Sanchez was renting were searched and officers found 106 more stolen bicycles.

Victims can look on the Ingleside Station's site for their missing bike and try to reclaim them.
