Two Miles of Highway 1 Shut Down After Crash

A motorcyle crashed into a bus carrying 30 people; one injured

The California Highway Patrol has shut down about a two-mile stretch of state Highway 1 in the Mt. Tamalpais State Park near Mill Valley after a single-injury accident involving a motorcycle and a Marin Transit Bus with 30 people aboard.
      
The CHP closed the freeway between Panoramic Highway and Muir Woods Road at 1:44 p.m. while waiting for a tow truck to remove the damaged motorcycle, the CHP said.
      
One person was transported to a local hospital with a facial laceration but the injury is not considered life-threatening, the CHP said.
      
The collision, reported at about 1:25 p.m., involved the motorcycle and the county bus line containing 30 passengers, the CHP said.
