Kevin Rose, founder of Digg, said on his Diggnation web show this week, that Yahoo had contacted his company about taking over the popular bookmarking site, Delicious.

Initially Kevin thougth Yahoo was trying to sell him the service, but realized all they wanted to find a new home it, reports TechCrunch.

After some discussions with Yahoo, Rose Tweeted that he would “really like to buy del.icio.us and make a seriously rad social bookmarking site, screenshot archives of bookmarks/audio annotations etc.”

Included in his potential plans for Delicious, Rose said he contacted the original founder, Joshua Schachter about coming back to work on it, but Schacter is apparently busy with new projects.

In the end, Rose said he would love to take it off Yahoo's hands, but doesn't know if the company would actually sell it to him.
