MERCED, Calif. -- A wanted parolee from Los Banos was captured over the weekend in Oklahoma, the Merced County Sheriff's Department said.
Roy Bristow, 49, was arrested in Cleveland, Okla.
Sheriff's officials said Bristow was taken into custody on suspicion of violating parole and for failing to comply with rules for sex offenders.

Bristow, who was working for a garbage company, heard the U.S. Marshals Service was looking for him, but believed he would be safe in his motel room, the sheriff's department said.
Authorites also arrested Bristow's son on suspicion of making methamphetamine.
Bristow will be extradited to California.
