San Francisco Planning Department “Porn” Scandal Revealed

Bawdy email forward ended in resignation of 20-year veteran

"I would feel a certain ambivalence about taking this young woman out in public" read the email that lead to a shake-up at San Francisco's Planning Department.

An attached image showed a group of party goers, with one woman having playfully lifted up her skirt for the cameras and the caption "How to pick a date for the prom!"

The woman in question had declined to wear anything underneath her dress.

Nothing you wouldn't see on a good night in New Orleans, but clearly someone at the Planning Department doesn't understand the meaning of "NSFW" -- not safe for work.

It's not clear who sent the email to the work emails of colleagues, but longtime zoning administrator Larry Badiner resigned after twenty years.

The city's Human Resources Commission is investigating the incident, which started with a complaint filed by an employee. Reportedly it is not the first bit of bawdy passed around the office via email.

Jackson West will never think of "planning porn" like 3D renderings of bus rapid transit on Van Ness the same way again.
