Anyone who wondered if Michael Crabtree could acclimate to the NFL after a long holdout has their answer. After only four career NFL starts, Crabtree is getting more balls thrown his way than any other 49ers receiver.

As Crabtree head to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field for this Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers, he finds himself the new favorite target of quarterback Alex Smith

"If everybody is making plays, then that's teamwork," Crabtree told the Mercury News. Where was that attitude when he was holding out for eight weeks?

Coach Singletary will have none of this keeping track of who's getting thrown the most balls.

"I think that kind of stuff really gets teams in trouble," Singletary told the Mercury News. "You start thinking more about, 'I'm the go-to guy.' And we don't want that. We want the team concept, and we are going to keep that concept going forward."

Singletary's right, and that is good for the 49ers'  team concept. It's just not as good for your Fantasy team concept  if you own Michael Crabtree. But the kid is getting his throws, and he's making the most of his opportunities.

Joe Kukura is a freelance writer who does own Michael Crabtree on his Fantasy team, and wishes Singletary's game plan focused more on making up the catches Crabtree missed in those first five games.
