The A's reportedly added an outfielder on Wednesday morning.
Matt Joyce agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Oakland, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
The deal is worth a reported $11 million total and is pending a physical.
Joyce hit .242 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 140 games with the Pirates last year.
The 32-year old's best season came in 2011 when he batted .277 with 19 home runs and 75 RBI for Tampa Bay, and was an All-Star.
