Michael Mina Is Set To Do Steak

Restaurant Michael Mina is closing -- only to return in its next life as a steakhouse.

The celebrity chef has finally gotten what he desired when the Westin St. Francis agreed to renew Michael Mina's lease, according to SF Gate's Inside Scoop.

Mina will close his flagship San Francisco restaurant in mid-September and reopen in October as Bourbon Steak. But fans of Michael Mina as it don't have to fret. Mina took over Aqua earlier this year and he plans to reopen there in late October as Restaurant Michael Mina.

Steak is nothing new for the famed chef. He has four Bourbon Steak locations in his restaurant portfolio but this will be his first in California.
