Rain Chances Ahead

After low clouds clear, we should see a fairly mild Sunday with highs mainly in the upper 50s to low 60s around the coast and San Francisco with mid to upper 60s around the inland valleys. Low clouds will fill in again into Monday morning some mist to start the work week.We re expecting increasing clouds during the day with some rain possible late in the day across the North Bay, with rain to spill southward into Tuesday morning. The best chances for rain at least to start will be areas north of San Francisco, then we ll see an opportunity for more rain into the South Bay on Wednesday as a weather system moves ashore. Rain should change to showers from north to south during Thursday morning as dry, north winds kick up and help to begin some clearing. Our departing weather system will dive into Southern California and Nevada as a cut-off low, depending on where this sets up exactly, there could be a few showers for areas south of San Jose into Thursday afternoon so stay tuned.Friday and next weekend should see a return to drier and slightly warmer weather, however fog may turn especially thick at times in the Central Valley and North and East Bay valleys after some rainfall and strong high pressure sets in. This is a classic radiational fog pattern, so we ll see if the Tule Fog makes its first real appearance of the Fall, drifting in from the east around the Delta and Tri-Valley.Enjoy your week!
