Sunny Start, Stormy Finish to Tuesday

We're enjoying the 'calm before the storm' as the saying goes with mostly sunny skies to start and areas of drizzle near the coastline. Look for increasing clouds and southerly winds ahead of a cold front due in late in the evening across the Bay Area.Winds should increase to 15-30 mph with higher gusts near the hills and coastline with rain starting off in the North Bay by afternoon and heading southward through the evening. We'll see some sun mixed with bands of showers at times from Wednesday through early Friday. Given the cooler air aloft, we'll see a chance for some convective showers that may include some hail and thunder while snow levels begin to drop to near 3,000 ft. by Thursday night. Clearing and drying conditions should return by late Friday with a mostly sunny and dry weekend ahead as temps warm back into the mid to upper 60s inland, possibly some 70s again early next week.Enjoy your Tuesday! - Rob
