Um, whoa. American Apparel's shiny happy Web site is proudly proclaiming: Coming Soon to 988 Valencia Street in the Mission. It seems incredibly logical that the Mish hipsters would now be able to buy their tube dresses and thigh-high athletic socks in mint condition as opposed to second-hand at Buffalo Exchange, but damn -- we didn't know Dov Charney had the balls. (Or, well, we didn't read that far into the police report.) Nonetheless, if the tipline is any indication, we do expect a knock-down drag-out on this one, folks. Especially if they're planning any spreadeagled advertising displays as the AA is so wont to do.For more stories from Curbed SF, go to sf.curbed.com.
