The Caldor Fire swept through a Lake Tahoe-area ski resort as it continued its march across the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The massive blaze charred terrain and wiped out some buildings at Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort, the Associated Press reported. Main buildings at the base of the resort were unscathed.
The photos below show the blaze churning through terrain many people know for being covered with snow during the winter months.
