Officials in Placer County are investigating the death of someone who died hours after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
The person tested positive for COVID in late December, and just weeks later died after receiving a vaccine.
Officials said the vaccine was not administered by Placer County Public Health.
Multiple local, state and federal agencies are investigating the case. No cause of death has been determined.
