Baby Stroller Stolen, Child Safe

A thief nabbed a baby stroller, but the baby is safe at home.

Take the stroller. Leave the baby.

A thief eager for a four-wheeled conveyance nabbed a baby stroller off of the street near West Portal seconds after its mother and child had vacated it, according to the San Francisco Examiner.

The "childish heist" took place on the 100 block of Wawona Street at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, the newspaper reported.

A mother called police to report that she'd left her stroller on the sidewalk in order to bring her baby to an upstairs residence, the newspaper reported. When she went back downstairs to retrieve the stroller, it was gone.

No arrests have been made, and no suspects were announced. Aside from anyone pushing a stroller sans baby, that is.
