Bicyclist Hits, Injures Pedestrians in San Francisco Before Fleeing

Multiple people were hospitalized after a bicyclist struck them on San Francisco's Market Street Monday morning and then fled, a police spokeswoman said.

The collision was reported at 10:02 a.m. in the area of Market and Powell streets, police Officer Giselle Linnane said.

Linnane said two pedestrians were hospitalized after the collision, while San Francisco fire officials wrote on Twitter that four people had been hospitalized with minor injuries.

Linnane said the bicyclist appears to have fled the scene. No description of the bicyclist was immediately released by police.
