The accident opened a hole in the boat and left a four-year-old boy with a slight head injury.

A child was injured during a boating accident in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, near Antioch Sunday evening.

Around 6:48 p.m. police received a call regarding a vessel that was in distress in an area of the river between Pittsburg and Antioch, according to police.
