Driver Arrested for DUI, Vehicular Manslaughter After Ramming Pick-Up Truck Into Light Post, Killing Passenger in Windsor

A 22-year-old driver is facing serious charges after a deadly crash in the North Bay claimed the life of his passenger.

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a white pick-up truck lost control and struck a light post while exiting northbound Highway 101 at the Lakewood Drive exit. The fatal accident unfolded just after 1 a.m. Sunday in Windsor.

Officers say the 19-year-old passenger was pinned in the vehicle and died.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
