Santa Rosa police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of committing more than 70 acts of graffiti vandalism in Santa Rosa over the past year - at least the third such arrest in a little more than four months.
Police identified the tagger "GON" and arrested him at a residence south of Santa Rosa today, Sgt. Phil Brazis said. The teen's name is not being released because he is a juvenile.
Brazis said "GON" was booked in the Sonoma County juvenile hall on three counts of felony vandalism with damage exceeding $400 and for 70 counts of misdemeanor vandalism.
Earlier this week, police arrested another 17-year-old whom they called a "prolific graffiti tagger" who goes by the name "DELI."
On Thursday, the Police Department's property crimes investigation team identified the suspect and served a search warrant at his residence.
Police said the suspect was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony vandalism and 284 counts of misdemeanor vandalism. He was booked into the Sonoma County Juvenile Justice Center.
In December 2013, police arrested a 21-year-old serial tagger who went by the name of KOUCH, who they say committed 170 acts of vandalism.
