A Palo Alto man woke to a gruesome discovery early Monday morning, when he went to feed his pet goat and llamas.
Vince Wood found his goat, named Mama, decapitated in her pen.
Wood said he thought Mama was the victim of a mountain lion attack, but investigators told him it was a clean cut.
Police and animal control is investigating.
