    A person was shot at a VTA station in San Jose on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016.

    Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday night on a Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority platform in downtown San Jose.

    At around 10 p.m., a man was shot on a platform near Second and Santa Clara streets, according to Sgt. James Jensen.

    The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

    Sheriff's officials have released images of the suspect taken from a surveillance video, but did not provide any other information.

    Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who they believe shot a man on a VTA platform late Friday.
