Oakland police were called to investigate a double homicide early Monday morning, while a third victim was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries and nearby, a fire raged by the fatal scene.

A police sergeant said the killings were reported about 1:45 a.m. in the 9900 block of Empire Road near the Oakland International Airport.

He had no other information, other than to say no one was in custody.

He also would not immediately discuss the fire. But video at the scene showed a car on fire burning outside a light-colored house swarming with police officers.
