Pittsburg Woman Beaten in Home Invasion

A Pittsburg woman was hospitalized Monday night after robbers broke into her children's room and then attacked her.

It happened around 10 p.m. Monday night in a quiet neighborhood, in the 1100 block of Bending Willow Way near Parkside Drive.

The woman's husband tells NBC Bay Area that two men broke into his home through a second-story window, where his two children, ages 3 and 6, were sleeping.

When the robbers ran into the mother they beat her then ran out through the front door.

The father wasn't home at the time.

Police are now on the hunt for those robbers, two men who police say concealed their facial area with the hoods of their sweatshirts.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital. She suffered bruising to her face and arm.

Police don’t have motive at this point.  They say a silver SUV, similar to a Chevrolet, was seen in the area during this incident.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Pittsburg Police Department.
