Police Investigate Double Shooting in Berkeley

Berkeley police began investigating a double shooting Monday morning after two men in their 20s were injured during a shooting between two cars, police said.

Officer Jenn Coats said the shooting was reported at 1:44 a.m. at Shattuck and Ashby avenues, both of which were closed during the investigation.

The men were taken to the hospital.

She said it appears as though people in two cars may have been shooting at each other. Bullet casings were found on the street and bullet holes were found in the windows of a gas station.
