With the Covered California deadline for enrollment just days away, NBC Bay Area's Kris Sanchez talks to Dana Howard, Covered California’s communications director about the enrollment process.
Covered California enrollment reached more than 1 million in mid-March, with 1,018,315 people applying for coverage and selecting health insurance plans for themselves and their family members through the state health benefit exchange.
Earlier this week, Covered California announced that individuals who start an online application by 11:59 p.m. on March 31, 2014 will have until 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2014 to complete an application and select a health plan.
Enrollment events in the Bay Area through March 31 include: Saturday, March 29 at Fremont Public Library, 2450 Stevenson Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538, 11:00 a.m-3:00 p.m.
