San Francisco Nightclub Shooting Leaves 3 Injured

A man who was injured in a triple shooting at a nightclub in San  Francisco's South of Market neighborhood early this morning is in critical  condition but is expected to survive, a police officer said.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was shot around 1:30 a.m. along with  two men in their 20s at the 330 Ritch nightclub on Ritch Street, a small  alleyway off of Brannan Street, police said.

The other two victims were treated for injuries that are not  believed to be life-threatening, while the victim in his 30s remains  hospitalized in "critical but stable condition," Officer Carlos Manfredi  said.

The officer said an argument prompted the first round of gunfire  inside the club.

More shots were fired just outside of the club and in a public  parking lot on Ritch and Brannan streets, Manfredi said.

He said investigators do not know what caused the fight.

"It's one of those incidents that happened really fast...and now  we have three victims that are hurt," the officer said.

The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived and have not  been located. No suspect description was available as of this afternoon.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the club to see  whether the cameras may have captured the shooting, Manfredi said.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the San  Francisco Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.
