Walk it or get your bicycle off the sidewalk.
Soon it will be against the law to ride your bike on some blocks in downtown San Jose.
The city council unanimously approved an ordinance that bans bike riding on designated sidewalks. The ban comes after dozens of reported accidents with pedestrians and reckless riders.
Police officers and kids under 12 are exempt from the ban.
The ordinance will likely take effect in January.
