    Three suspects were taken into custody Tuesday following a shooting in Morgan Hill, according to police.

    Officials say a man was shot in the chest near an elementary school.

    The shooting was reported in the vicinity of Calle Mazatan and East Main Avenue at 12:13 p.m.The campus of El Toro Elementary School is listed nearby.

    Police said it looks like the victim will survive.

    The shooting occurred during the early afternoon hours near Butterfield Boulevard and E. Main Avenue, police said.

    The three suspects were taken into custody along southbound Highway 101, according to police.

    Police said they believe the shooting "was not a random act."
