Steph Curry Tuesday afternoon underwent an MRI, which did not reveal anything of concern, the Warriors announced.
Curry is expected to continue treatment in preparation for Thursday’s Game 3 in Houston. He is listed as questionable
Curry tweaked his right ankle in Golden State's Game 1 win over the Rockets on Saturday.
He warmed up prior to Game 2 on Monday night, but was ruled out about an hour before the opening tip.
"We want to make sure Steph is right and his foot is fine and healthy," Steve Kerr said after the Warriors' win. "So we'll see how he responds the next couple of days and if he's not right, obviously being up 2-0 does give us a little more cushion if we do decide to sit him. But it will be based on his health, not the series score...
"... He didn't feel it during warmups so he tried to see how it would feel, and he tried to push off on it and it was tender, so we weren't gonna take a chance."
Curry didn't consult Kerr about his availability.

"I didn't even have a conversation with him. He made the decision," Kerr explained. "I think I was in here doing media when he was out on the floor, so I went back to the locker room and the other coaches told me that he was out. So, we'll talk to him tomorrow and see where he is. But fortunately we don't play till Thursday and he's got some time to get some treatment."
Is it an ankle injury or a foot injury?
"I don't know. Honestly," Kerr answered. "It's both. I'm not sure I know the difference. It's the back of his foot, it's underneath the ankle. It's something down there."
The San Francisco Chronicle first reported the news of Curry getting an MRI.
