Extensive damage was discovered at the Petaluma High School and Casa Grande High School campuses

Two teens have been arrested in connection with vandalism incidents at two Petaluma high schools last week.

The teens, identified as a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Petaluma, were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

On Tuesday, there was extensive damage discovered at the Petaluma High School and Casa Grande High School campuses.

The damage included vandalism to multiple classroom windows and was estimated at $5,000.

School resource officers at both schools opened up a joint investigation and identified two Casa Grande High School students as the suspects.

The students were interviewed and admitted to committing the vandalism on Monday night, police said.
