Burglary Suspects Caught Breaking Into Santa Clara Gun Store

A trio of suspected burglars was caught breaking into a South Bay gun store early Wednesday morning. And they unwittingly tipped police off.

Police say two men and a woman broke into the Reed's Indoor Gun Range in Santa Clara at around 4:30 a.m. They tried to steal seven guns.

The store owner says, as the burglars were breaking in, they tripped a silent alarm.

"They broke through the window, pried their way in, broke a bunch of stuff on my shelves, and that’s how they got in," Reed said.

Police showed up and apparently caught the robbers in the act.

All seven of the guns were recovered.

Marcus Moreno, 26, his brother Jorel, 27, and Tina Marie Guzman, 39, all of San Jose, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, resisting arrest and possession of stolen merchandise, according to police.
