A 32-year-old Sacramento man died in a collision between two big-rigs on westbound Interstate 580 in Dublin Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported shortly after 12:35 p.m. on westbound 580 near Fallon Road.
Both big-rigs were heading west on the highway when one tried to pass the other, but they clipped each other and the rear big-rig overturned on the right-hand shoulder, CHP Officer Tyler Hahn said.
The driver of that big-rig was crushed and emergency crews pronounced him dead at the scene, Hahn said.
The other big-rig driver stopped after the collision and cooperated with investigators.
