2.9 Magnitude Quake Strikes Near Suisun City, Fairfield

A preliminary 2.9 magnitude earthquake struck near Fairfield and Suisun City Thursday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The temblor hit at 10:01 a.m. roughly one mile southeast of Rio Vista Junction, about 10 miles east-southeast of Fairfield and Suisun City, and nearly 12 miles north of Pittsburg, according to the USGS.
