A preliminary 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck near Livermore Wednesday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The quake hit at 4:13 p.m. and was centered 4.1 miles south of Livermore, 6.2 miles east-southeast of Pleasanton and 10.5 miles east-southeast of Dublin, the USGS said.
No other information was immediately available.
