Fire officials said crews put out a house fire Monday night in the unincorporated Alameda County community of Castro Valley.
An advisory was issued at 9:58 p.m. for the fire at Lawrence and Joseph drives and by 10:22 p.m. the fire was out.
Fire officials said the blaze extended into the attic. No one was injured and firefighters saved a couple of animals.
