The San Jose Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 2700 block of Monterey Rd Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 6:30 p.m. and upon arrival, they located a man suffering from at least one stab wound.
The victim, who has not been identified, was transported to the hospital where he later died, police said.
A man has been detained in connection to the stabbing but a motive is unknown.
This marks the sixth homicide of the year in the city of San Jose.
