Oakland firefighters rescued a man this afternoon after he became stuck in a tree he was trimming.
A fire dispatcher said firefighters responded to 3220 Louise Street around 4:30 p.m. on reports of a man stuck in a tree 40 feet off the ground.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter was called in to assist firefighters in safely removing the man from the tree, according to fire officials.
He eventually was brought down on a ladder.
Further information about how the man became stuck in tree or if there were any injuries was unavailable.
