Firefighters Extinguish 2-Alarm Brush Fire Near I-580 in Livermore

The fire was reported at about 12:45 p.m. near the Portola Avenue on-ramp to Highway 580.

A two-alarm grass fire that burned near Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore Wednesday afternoon has been extinguished.

The fire was reported at about 12:45 p.m. near the Portola Avenue on-ramp to Highway 580, fire department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles said.

The fire covered about one acre and was driven by high winds.
